The first 48 hours
Don’t throw anything out
Damaged items are the evidence for the contents claim. Leave them where they are until they have been photographed and logged.
Don’t clean items yourself
Household cleaners set stains and lift finishes on many materials. Each surface needs its own method, so wait until items are assessed.

Contents claims are settled on the inventory. We photograph, itemise, and log room by room on the first visit, before anything is packed.
