When you submit, our on-call team gets a text instantly. You'll get a confirmation text right away.

Got it. We’re calling you within 5 minutes.

Keep your phone nearby. If water is still spreading, shut off the main valve now, it’s usually in the basement or crawl space, on the street-facing wall.

While we’re on the way

Before the rebuild starts

1

Keep a finish sample

Set aside a spare tile, a length of trim, a cabinet door. A physical sample makes matching the existing finish far easier.

2

Wait on the scope

Demolition should stop at a documented line. Removing more than the approved scope can push part of the rebuild outside the claim.

3

One contract, not two

Ask whoever dried the house whether they also rebuild. One agreement removes the handoff where claims usually lose weeks.

Not sure where your rebuild stands? Call (385) 354-5813 and we will walk through the scope with you.

What’s included

From bare studs to move-back-in

  • Framing, sheathing, and subfloor replaced wherever the loss reached the structure
  • Drywall, paint, and texture blended into the walls that were untouched
  • Flooring, cabinets, and trim matched to the original wherever possible
  • Licensed subs for the wiring, plumbing, and HVAC the rebuild touches
  • A written Xactimate scope agreed with your adjuster before the first sub arrives
  • One contract from demolition to final paint, no handoff to a second contractor
Surface by surface

Why matching finishes is a craft

Surface
Why it's hard to match
Our approach
Flooring
Discontinued tile or plank runs and dye-lot variation between batches
Source the same or nearest match, blend transition points where an exact match isn't possible
Drywall & paint
Texture and sheen have to blend into untouched walls
Match texture first, then feather and blend paint sheen at the seams
Cabinets & millwork
Wood grain, stain, and hardware finish age differently over time
Match or refinish to the nearest original, shown to you before ordering
Trim & fixtures
Profiles and finishes go out of production
Source equivalent profiles and finishes, or replace full runs where a partial match would show
Large-loss documentation is the claim.
Reconstruction is usually the largest line on a claim, and the one adjusters read most closely. We write the build-back scope room by room, photograph before anything moves, and price it in Xactimate, so your adjuster has what they need from the first visit.
What the rebuild covers

What a rebuild usually includes

Most rebuilds come down to a handful of trades run in the right order, from Salt Lake City basements to Park City mountain homes.

New studs, sheathing, and subfloor replacing what the loss reached

Framing & structure

Studs, sheathing, and subfloor replaced wherever the loss reached the structure.

Drywall taped, textured, and painted to blend into the untouched walls

Drywall & paint

Hung, taped, textured, and painted to blend into the walls that were untouched.

New flooring laid and matched to the existing floor

Flooring

Tile, hardwood, and carpet matched where possible, replaced wall to wall where not.

Cabinets, counters, and trim rebuilt to match the original

Cabinets & millwork

Cabinets, counters, trim, and doors rebuilt or replaced to match.

Licensed subcontractors reinstalling wiring, plumbing, and HVAC

Mechanical & electrical

Licensed subs for the wiring, plumbing, and HVAC the rebuild touches.

Siding, soffit, and roofing replaced where the damage went past the walls

Roofing & exterior

Siding, soffit, decking, and roofing where the damage went past the walls.

One event, three losses

Most rebuilds start as another loss

A rebuild is rarely the first call. It follows water, fire, or storm damage, which is why we keep mitigation and reconstruction under one scope and one schedule instead of handing you to a second contractor.

Loss 1

Water losses

A burst pipe or a flooded basement gets dried, demolished, and rebuilt on one schedule.

Water damage restoration →
Loss 2

Fire & smoke

Char removal and odor sealing come first, then framing, drywall, and finishes.

Fire & smoke restoration →
Loss 3

Storm & structural

Wind, hail, and fallen trees open the envelope, so we secure it, then rebuild what broke.

Storm damage restoration →

“The same crew that dried the basement rebuilt it. One contract, one schedule, and nobody arguing over whose scope it was.”

Why Highwater

Why owners keep the rebuild with us

One accountable company from the first dry-out to the last coat of paint, with a claim file your adjuster can actually work from.

Licensed general contracting

We hold the general contractor license, pull the permits, and carry our own subs on schedule.

Mitigation to build-back

Mitigation, contents, and reconstruction under one roof, one schedule, one point of contact.

Scope agreed up front

A written Xactimate scope settled with your adjuster before the first sub arrives.

Finishes that match

We source the same or nearest finish and show you the options before anything is ordered.

Insurance claims

We handle the rebuild side of your claim

Reconstruction is usually the largest line on a claim, and the one adjusters read most closely. We write the build-back scope room by room, agree it in Xactimate before work starts, document every change order, work with any carrier, and bill directly, so your only real cost is your deductible.

Scope notes and photographs documenting the rebuild for the claim

How your claim goes, step by step

1

Scope the rebuild

We measure, photograph, and write the build-back room by room.

2

Agree it with the carrier

Your adjuster reviews and approves the scope before we build.

3

Price in Xactimate

Line-item materials and labor, in the format your adjuster already uses.

4

Coordinate & bill direct

We answer the adjuster’s questions and bill your insurer for covered work.

5

You pay only your deductible

On a covered claim, that plus any upgrades you choose is your out-of-pocket.

Typically covered

Repair and replacement of the damaged structure back to its pre-loss condition, including matching finishes, plus living expenses while the home is unlivable. This is the core of a homeowner policy.

Watch the fine print

Code-upgrade costs without ordinance-or-law coverage, and losses tied to long vacancy, can be limited. We flag these early and document to protect the claim.

$0 out of pocket, beyond your deductible
On a covered rebuild, our goal is nothing from you past your deductible.
Every carrier, no network required
We work for you and with any insurer. Direct billing and Xactimate scopes on every claim.
Ask about living expenses
If you are displaced, your policy likely covers lodging and meals. We help you document ALE from day one.

Ordinance-or-law limits and depreciation holdback decide what a rebuild actually pays. Ask us to check both before demolition ends.

FAQ

Questions we hear

How long does a rebuild take after mitigation?
A single room can be a few days. A moderate rebuild runs two to eight weeks. A major structural loss runs months. You get a written timeline after the scope is agreed with your adjuster, not a guess.
Will the finishes actually match what I had before?
We source the same or nearest finish and show you the options before anything is ordered. See our finish-matching approach above.
Do you handle the permits?
Yes. We hold the general contractor license, pull the permits, and carry our own subs on schedule.
What if the insurance payout doesn't cover the full rebuild?
We flag ordinance-or-law limits and depreciation holdback early, and financing options are available to cover the gap.
Can I upgrade finishes beyond what the policy pays for?
Yes. We show you the options and the cost difference before anything is ordered, so you decide with full information.
Do I need to hire my own contractor, or can you rebuild what you dried?
One company can do both. One contract from mitigation to final paint means no gap where the claim stalls between two vendors.
